Today was considered a productive day with little growth or movement in the fire due to low winds and suppression methods.
Work continues on fire break guards north and south and air support will resume in the morning. There is an expected increase in fire activity with elevated winds , higher temperatures and lower humidity.
Local fire fighters continue to protect structures and assist forestry in suppressing the fire from the ground.
We want to reassure you there will be a continued
police presence with regular patrols protecting residential and business properties in the evacuated areas. Road blocks remain in place and the public are reminded that entering the evacuation zone is prohibited.
