We’re glad that residents of Salmon Cove, Burnt Point, Gull Island, and parts of Northern Bay have been able to safely return to their homes. This marks a positive step forward, and we thank everyone for their patience and cooperation.
Work is still ongoing along the edges of the fire area to ensure full containment and prevent flare-ups. Forestry crews and local fire departments remain active in accessible zones, continuing to monitor and extinguish hotspots.
Security patrols continue in evacuated zones to mitigate risks of property damage and unauthorized access.
