Good quality access to broadband (internet/TV/telephone) services is important, particularly for rural areas. However, it can be complicated and the companies that provide the services don’t always excel at explaining your options or supporting you after you have signed up.

Mark Ploughman is an engineer with over 30 years of private and public sector experience and was responsible for the provincial Rural Broadband Program in NL from 2012 to 2016. He recently moved to the community and experienced first-hand some of the challenges of getting access.
