The North Shore Community Wildfire Resilience Plan is being created by a North Shore cohort to help our communities better address the risks we face and prepare for future emergencies. We must learn from the Adam’s Cove & Kingston wildfires and work together to build stronger, safer communities.

Forestry, Agriculture and Lands (FAL) supported this project. with approximately $60,000 in funding from their Wildfire Prevention and Mitigation program.

This work is being overseen by representatives from the communities that are covered by our North Shore Volunteer Fire Department; from Kingston to Burnt Point. By coming together, we’re creating a shared approach to wildfire resilience.

Please join us in person on August 31 to:
*hear the plan,
*learn about wildfire prevention, mitigation and emergency preparedness,
*hear about the steps already being taken, and
*most importantly, have your say in what comes next.

This plan cannot succeed without residents at the table. You know your community best. Please come to share your experience, and help shape what resilience looks like for the North Shore.

Everyone is welcome. Your voice matters.
