We are actively engaged in preparations for the lifting of the evacuation order and your return to your community.
– We are planning for the opening of the Welcome Center at Salem Community Center. The center will be equipped with materials and resources to support your re-entry. The Town has engaged Scott Chandler to be the manager/liaison for the center.
– We have received a lot of interest from residents who would like to volunteer in the aid and recovery efforts. If you would like to help out, please reach out to Scott at welcomecenter@smallpoint-adamscove.ca.
– We are currently reactivating our public water supplies as power is restored to the wellhouses. Town staff are engaged isolating sections of the system at affected properties.
– Dumpsters will be strategically placed throughout the area in preparation for the disposal of household waste and debris. Further guidance will come regarding the segregation of different classes of waste.
Upon re-entry, you will be provided with some ppe and an information packet to assist you in your return.
